Tomoko and Ty are back!

Tomoko and Ty arrived home today and we had a lot of fun checking out the 495 pictures Tomoko took. Here are a couple. I’ll post more later.

Four years ago and today

It was four years ago that we got an early morning phone call from Japan. Tomoko’s mother had seen the news and was calling us to see where we were. One of those days that leaves you stunned.

We had a video call yesterday and I watched Ty and Saki playing together. He really likes to grab the phone even if he doesn’t have much to say (for now!) We’ll be taking him to the Build-A-Bear workshop when he gets back to choose a teddy bear for him. Our tiny man is two years old! Check out the pics:

Phil & Mimi’s Wedding in LA

We jetted down to LA this past weekend to attend Phil & Mimi’s wedding at the Universal Hilton in LA. We managed to take a stroll around Universal as well as stop by our condo in Laguna Hills.

Toronto Visit

We had a whirlwind trip in Toronto a couple of weeks ago. We saw One King West and had the 2005 Bocce Tournament in London. I’ve posted pictures from One King West below. Here are some other picture from our visit:

Willow Glen Street Festival Today!

Today is the Dancing on the Avenue Festival for Willow Glen. They close down Lincoln from Willow to Minnesota and there is a big street party with several bandstands, food vendors and other events. I’ve uploaded some recent pictures of Ty. Check out the necklace I had made for Tomoko for our 6th wedding anniversary. I picked up the opal in Kuranda during our Australia trip.

Transfer Videotape to DVD

What did you do on Memorial Day weekend? I spent time going to Home Depot and transfering old video tapes to DVD. Here are a couple of screen captures from a Jerry Springer show that Tomoko and I went to back in 1996 and a few from our wedding in 1999.

Celebrate the 12 week mark!

Tomoko and I went for Afternoon Tea at the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel. The hotel is located on a spectacular cliff above the ocean. We wanted to celebreate reaching the 12 week mark.
